Ghosts of the Internet …

Closer to Bone / Kris Kristofferson / 2009

“The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated”
So said Mark Twain from London to the press in the United States after his obituary had been mistakenly published.

The recent internet posts claiming
Kris Kristofferson and Tom Selleck
have died are lies.
I guess some fool thinks that’s funny?
It’s not.
It does furnish us with more evidence however,
that whatever you see and read on the Internet can be complete crap.
(Except here of course)

Kris Kristofferson

Age 87.
Kris has been advising us for some time
that’s he likely leaving soon.

In music alone he leaves several (many?) Classics.
and he’s some decent Film work as well.

So before you before you leaves us Kris I’d just like to express my Thanks
as we’ve enjoyed your work for a good many years.
Thanks Kris.
You will be missed.

Meanwhile …
Tom Selleck

Age 78.
Is still going strong.

“God created all men …
They say Sam Colt made them equal …
more or less.”

– Matthew Quigley (Tom Selleck)

Keep shootin’ Tom.

Kris made a few TV Westerns during this period. TV Westerns are often sneered at as being low budget fare. But budget is really only one factor of several that make up a Movie/Western production. Script/Writing, Direction, Casting, Star Power, Acting, and several other factors all combine for the quality of a film.
What I’m saying that most of Kris’s Westerns in this period were really pretty good. Not Classics, but worth a watch.
