Well, what do you think? Mighty big shoes to fill. I dunno….
Uhhh … the way it’s coming across to me is that I wouldn’t even classify it as a Remake. It follows a similar plot line, but has none of the feel of the Original Magnificent Seven. It might be a travesty to infer itself as such. Does that mean it’s going to be an awful movie? Well you can see very plainly from the trailers what it is. It’s one of those slick modern day Tarantino style efforts – possibly without the sadism. Momentarily entertaining – but pretty forgettable – and I definitely doubt it will be a Classic.
That’s my impression so far. But I’ve been dead wrong about a lot of things.
We shall see, but I’m not holding my breath it will stand up remotely as good as the original. I’d love to be surprised!
