Quinn asked me to post some photos from my recent trip to
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND.
So I will.
Canada is HUGE.
Prince Edward Island is small.
I lived in New Brunswick for 3 years in the late 60’s.
Finished High School there. But was never able to get over to
Prince Edward Island.
And I always regretted that.
So you might say that this on an unofficial goal
on my Bucket List.
So we flew from Calgary to Charlottetown
Prince Edward Island (PEI).
The first (and only) official goal on my Bucket List
had been to sail on the famous Canadian Schooner:
THE BLUENOSE.
So I did.
Bluenose / Stan Rogers / 1978
Thanks to my partner Rose, I achieved this goal on July 28, 2016.
9 hours on the the Bluenose 2. What a Day!
It was the experience of a lifetime.
2016 … seems like a lifetime ago.
So how does a fishing schooner defeat racing yachts?
