Yet in thy dark streets shineth …

O Little Town of Bethlehem / Barbra Streisand

I’m not Christian, but for me Christmas is still a Spiritual Event.
And many Christmas Carols are inspired, and I love them.
Why not?

… the everlasting Light.

Sorry this isn’t applicable to this particular post, but I’m trying to recall the name of a Western. (60’s, I think) It concluded with a shoot out at a mine, where the protagonists were holed up in a mine building that had a long steep staircase leading up to it. I remember they were trying to procure the release of hostages and one of them, a woman, kept blocking their targets by climbing up that stairway. What was the name of that movie?

WOW Dan. Sorry, I cannot recall the particular scene you speak of. However there are several Westerns Sites and Blogs run by people that are far more expert in Western Movies than I am – and it is entirely possible they will recall the Movie you speak of. I do recall a Randolph Scott movie that had Henry Silva as a badguy and Scott and a gal were being held prisoner in an old mine. Pretty sure that’s not the movie you are speaking of though.

I love them too and I’m not Christian either. I love the music, how easy it is to harmonize, and that of all songs learned in life, I remember the words.
