Their engineering and technology seem to have been lost for centuries.

GP, we don’t even know WHO they were? They are essentially nameless and faceless. They left no writings, no technology … NOTHING except their incredible structures and megaliths – much of which we couldn’t even deplicate today. And at some point, although we find this stuff all over the planet, they just seemed to leave. THIS is the greatest mystery of our time.
