Things change.
Often not for the better.

It’s BIG out here. Or it used to be.
When I first came to Long Beach and Tofino back in the 70’s there was next to nobody out here and it was considered almost inaccessible.
We could camp anywhere we wanted to and sometimes it felt like we were the only people that had ever been here.
But Yellowstone, Sedona, and Banff were all considered this way once too.
Not so long ago.
NOW they are all considered Tourist Traps.
And they are.

I once stood on this beach at sunset and there was nobody here but me and GOD.

I come here for Spiritual reasons.
To get away from all the trappings of the City.
To reflect and contemplate in a place of wonder.
That, so far, is so BIG that it hasn’t been utterly destroyed.

So I wouldn’t tell anyone not to come here.

Because I will again.

There are some things that are seem just too hard to wreck.

I hope this is one of them.
