pieces of april  /  by Dave Loggins

Survived a snow squall and dodged another storm that passed North.
But we haven’t put our shovels away yet.
I’m just I’m getting pretty old to be shoveling any heavy wet snow.

So … the joy of melting snow !

And we’ve got purple and yellow crocus!

    And  Ladybugs!

    Tulips on their way!

    fishin’

    chinook arch

    still waiting

  • Spring Ahead 2026 ???

    Spring (vernal) equinox

The 2026 Spring (vernal) Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere occurs on March 20 at 10:46 a.m. EST (14:46 UTC), marking the astronomical start of Spring. This event, where the sun crosses directly over the Earth’s equator, creates nearly equal day and night lengths worldwide, bringing warmer days and signaling the start of the astrological year with Aries.

The sweet sound of snow melting …

    Tulips and Daffodils arising !

    Pigeons cooing …

Blue Jays flocking (at Home Depot) …

    Ladybugs emerging…

    The Steeds awaiting…Leia observing…

We’ve just the the mildest Winter I can ever recall.
Chinook after Chinook … while elsewhere in North America people are still getting hammered and impacted by horrific weather events.
    Go figure ?
But we know that ANYTHING can happen yet …

    bird … watching …

    no more skating …

    on guard for thee …

    the river is open …

    so are we …
