He was probably a nice chap, but he always played a bit of serious fellow. And I had a heck of a time finding a pic of him that I liked – and there are very few where he’s smiling.
Pretty good actor though – strong on the screen.
He was in every western I remember from when I was a kid, or maybe it just seemed that way!
