Once again Jcalberta, you have captured beautiful scenery with fitting music 🙂 Anyway, keep up the great work as always 🙂

P.S. your recent posts on Star Wars is actually subtly fitting for this site because George Lucas used Akira Kurosawa’s samurai adventure The Hidden Fortress as one of his many influences behind Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977). How is it fitting? The samurai film is sometimes implied as the Japanese equivalent to the Western. Here is a link that explains it 🙂

Thank You John. I’ve heard that Lucas was inspired by these moves which – as you say – were equated to Westerns. I would never have noticed that connection myself and, in truth, I think there’s a bit more to Star Wars than your average Western. I personally believe they have been an important consciousness raising phenomenon. I would equate them more to the mythology of Camelot and King Arthur. Merlin, etc. To me they have more a feel to that and there is no doubt they resonate with people on a that level. There is a power to them that connects with us. All that stuff about the Force, Jedi Masters, Excalibur like swords (Light Sabres) etc. Blah Blah … I could on and on. And I really don’t think I’m reading too much into it. Lucas did, of course, read Joseph Campbell’s works ‘The Power of Myth’ – about the ‘Hero’s Journey’. Great and powerful stuff. Over to you.

Thank you Cindy. It’s getting tough. I know how much you love to hike in your beautiful country. So you can imagine not being able to do that. I’ll have to get better meds I guess.
