  1. I found your site by searching for Pat Garrett et Billy le Kid – a poster I picked up in Paris last year with my wife… I was 10 years old when the movie came out, living in San Francisco with my Mom, who’s boyfriend lived in Virginia City, Nevada. The old West is in my soul. I’ve known and loved (and turned people on to) that movie for 50 years. It took me a while to let go of the insult that Gun’s & Roses did to one of my favourite songs… I don’t know why I’m telling you this – I just think that you might understand… Some of my favourites… The Man who Shot Liberty Valance…. McCabe and Mrs Miller… Geronimo. Peace.

    1. HEY … all comments are cherished around these parts. Thank You.
Yeah those are all Western Classics you name there.
I think Westerns are making a come back now and we’re gonna see some good ones
coming out over the next year.
Hang in there Pardner … and keep promoting the cause.

  2. Same here jcalberta 🙂 Like myself, I am aware that you are a huge fan of Sam Peckinpah’s 1973 elegiac western Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Well guess what? Criterion is putting out a blu-ray of it on July 2nd of this year. If you want to know more about it, look it up on the Criterion site or go to Amazon.com or Amazon.ca for more information. I tried to post the links on here, but the comment did not go through for some odd reason. And yes, they include all three cuts of the film 🙂

    1. It’s more than worthy. But to think that the infighting between Peck
and the Producers nearly screwed this whole thing up. Salvaged
and pasted back together years later by friends and cohorts to
come close to Sam’s intended vision.
