Rose had spotted some American Avocets in a marsh wetland near by.
We head over to snap some photos.

Don’t recall ever seeing this bird before.
Beautiful! These birds are called Stilts. (because of their long legs).
The black and white one is called a Black Necked Stilt.
The other is the American Avocet.
