OK, below are the ‘innards’ (as Jed used to say) for my new computer.
MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Motherboard
GeFORCE GTX 1050 Ti Graphics Card
Intell Core i5 Desk Processor …
Whadoya think?
I could afford everything, but a Flux Capacitor.
So I’ll be forced to use Win 10.
Yeah, yeah, I know it’s not top of the line …
But it ain’t chopped liver either.
It’s a nice bump up frum my old system, which just couldn’t cut it anymore.
So, shortly, I’ll have this all put together.
$900 In Canada.

And Welcome !
That’s the video card I have in this new machine … and yes, it is Win 10. It is a GREAT video card. You will LOVE it. Win 10 is okay when you get used to it. If you use a lot of graphics software, eventually you have to bite the bullet and get a computer that packs some power. I didn’t want to, but the same thing was happening to me. That is WHY I got a new computer.
Hi Marilyn !! t So far so good. Yeah, there’s always a learning curve with Windows. My site is graphic intensive so it likely challenges some people’s systems. I don’t really know how to fix that. Some of my my images just doesn’t look good at low res.
All in all I’d say this system is 3 times better – and I still have 3 ram bays open. Scorching !!!
Happy New Year to you, Garry, and the pups !!!
Hi it’s Quinn
That’s a very good blog post on your new computer. I have two desktop computer hard drives using two different versions of windows 7 and the new windows 10 . I’m still learning how to use windows 10. My windows 10 computer will be just for my photography and editing. I just did a new post on my blog .
Thanks
Quinn
Hi Quinn !
I had a heck of a time with Win 7. Kept freezing every other day. Which eventually corrupted my software, including Win 7 itself – because the only way out was to hard boot it. Anyway, I’m in the same boat as you with Win 10. I know nothing about it. So will have to learn it’s ways. I’m looking forward to using my new toys.
