This image reminds me of a survey job I had years ago up on the cut lines in the Rockies. It was winter and the snow was deep. I got ahead of the crew and was up in a high mountain meadow with an incredible view of the snowbound mountains and forests below me. It was dead still – no wind – no sound. Except one – the ringing of trees. The purity of that mystical moment is one I will never forget.
