There’s no question where the name “Buffalo Soldier” comes from. During battle a Soldier would often lose his horse, but the Buffalo Soldier had the uncanny ability to mount a nearby buffalo and charge back into the fray. Imagine the terrified Indians as a mounted Buffalo Soldier was bearing down on them!!! Amazing !!
