    I saw John Fogerty in concert with John Mellencamp. The lady behind me kept running her mouth through Fogerty. I had to explain that Fogerty meant more to Rock than Mellencamp would ever mean.

      Recollections of my misspent youth – and a Renaissance era not be equaled again (In our lifetimes anyway). There was literally hundreds of garage bands churning out wonderful stuff – from the Folk Music Era – the British Wave – to Motown – to San Francisco and on and on …

        Yes, you are right, of course. The 70s were dynamic and diverse! Hippies to Moral Majority to Disco to Southern Rock to British.
