I have loved John Wayne movies since I was a young girl and having Ms Dietrich and handsome Randolph Scott to boot in the same movie makes it pure gold. Wayne is known for his fight scenes and this must be the longest one I’ve seen.
Sorry that the Copyright owners removed the fight scene. It was You Tube for a long time. Yes it was a heck of a fight. I believe it went on for about 11 minutes? Wayne, Scott and Dietrich in the same movie. WOW.
It was that loooong fight that caught my attention. I was reading someone’s opinion of the movie that it’s not a great Western (?) – though it definitely has some Star Power.
Aha .. just a guess on my part.
Interesting to see Scott play the badguy. In another film (same year) called Pittsburgh, Wayne plays the badguy and Scott plays the goodguy.
Was that areal fight

I timed it. That fight scene was 14 minutes long. And I wondered if anyone caught the sheer blouse Ms. Dietrich wore?
“14 minutes” !! Yep, that’s gotta be a record.
“Ms. Dietrich” was no prude.
Cool…Never saw The Spoilers. I will have to change that 🙂

Garry thinks you are right, that it IS the longest bar fight in western movies. Was remade later. Don’t know if they kept the super bar fight, though.

Too funny …
That long fight is a rather amazing scene! Interesting cast.
