“As high as an elephant’s eye”

I’ve surely had some privileges in my life. One of those was that my folks were great lovers of Movie Musicals. So I grew up listening to many on our stereo (another privilege) like The King and I, My Fair Lady, Camelot, The Sound of Music … and on and on.

Among those was Oklahoma – and us kids on the farm at Brooks knew all the words and songs.

Anyhow, I came upon this clip on YouTube … thot I’d put it up.

Times have surely changed … yet I still love it.

  1. AAAWWW. Oklahoma. I hated it. Sorry. I was in musicals from high school and OK was our choice one year. I did however, love listening to musicals like you at home. That was a cool chapter of my childhood. West Side Story was it….

    1. HAA! I never had the fortune (or misfortune) to be in any High School musicals – except for Christmas Pageants (I was a shepherd), So I don’t know what that was all about. Yes, we had West Side Story too – but not allowed to watch – too adult. Still liked the music tho … MARIA ! …

  2. Ya good one —had a chance to see a local production and what do you know – I knew all the words
